Manu Mitru (El Periodico)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La\nvendimia 2022<\/strong>\nen nuestra Finca Can Marti comenzo el 4 agosto, 5 dias antes de lo habitual debido\na la sequia y a la rapida maduracion de las variedades mas tempranas y,\nfinalizo el 14 de septiembre. Los litros de lluvia por m2 recogidos entre el 1\nde enero 2022 y el inicio de la vendimia fueron de tan solo 179. En cambio, en agosto\ny primera quincena de septiembre recibimos 75 litros de lluvia que seran muy\nbien aprovechados por nuestros olivos centenarios. Desde el final de la\nprimavera y durante el verano, hemos tenido 4 severas olas de calor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Torello, las\ncerca de 80 hectareas de vi\u00f1edo ecologico de la Finca Can Marti son\nvendimiadas, en parte, cuando aun es de noche. Una jornada de vendimia empieza\na las 4.30h de la madrugada y termina a las 13h. Buscamos las mas bajas\ntemperaturas de la noche (segun el dia entre los 16 y los 19 grados) para\nproteger la salud del vendimiador y evitar golpes de calor. En palabras de <strong>Paco\nde la Rosa Torello<\/strong> \u201cEs importante el descanso y mejorar las condiciones de\ntrabajo en un oficio duro como es el de vendimiar\u201d. Por otro lado, tambien se evita\ncierta perdida de aroma y color del mosto por las altas temperaturas diurnas de\nla uva. Finalmente, tambien supone un ahorro energetico pues no necesitamos\nenfriar la uva antes de su prensado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2022 hemos\ntenido entre un 20 y un 30% menos de produccion de uva -segun la variedad- respecto\nal a\u00f1o anterior debido a la intensa sequia, ahora bien, el estado sanitario de\nla uva ha sido impecable. Segun <strong>J.A. Montilla<\/strong>, enologo de Torello \u201cel\nperfecto estado sanitario de la uva, junto a una acidez equilibrada, nos\npermitira elaborar vinos tranquilos y espumosos de gran calidad\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Torello la vendimia de las 11 variedades de uva se realiza de forma manual, en cajas de 25 kg, pallots de 250 kg o peque\u00f1os remolques de 2.500kg y el transporte de la uva desde la vi\u00f1a hasta las prensas es muy rapido, tan solo10 minutos. De esta manera los racimos llegan enteros. <br><br>Finca Can Marti, Gelida (Alt Penedes), septiembre de 2022 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La verema 2022 a Torello Viticultors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sequera i verema nocturna.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La verema 2022 en la nostra finca de Can Marti, va comencar el 4 d\u2019agost, 5\ndies abans de l\u2019habitual, a causa de la sequera i la rapida maduracio de les\nvarietats mes primerenques, i va finalitzar el 14 de setembre. Els litres de\npluja per m2 que es van recollir entre l\u20191 de gener del 2022 i l\u2019inici de la verema\nvan ser de nomes 179. En canvi, a l\u2019agost i primera quinzena de setembre vam\nrebre 75 litres de pluja que van ser molt ben aprofitats per les nostres\noliveres centenaries. Des del final de la primavera i durant l\u2019estiu, hem\ntingut 4 onades de calor molt fortes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Torello, les boi 80 hectarees de vinya ecologica, han sigut veremades, en\npart, quan encara era de nit. Una jornada de verema comencava a les 4:30 h de\nla matinada i acabava a les 13.00 h. Buscavem les temperatures mes baixes de la\nnit (segons el dia, entre els 16\u00ba i els 19\u00ba) per protegir la salut del\nveremador i evitar cops de calor. En paraules de Paco de la Rosa Torello \u201c\u00c9s\nimportant el descans i millorar les condicions de treball en un ofici tan dur\ncom es el de veremar\u201d. Per altra banda, tambe s\u2019ha evitat certa perdua d\u2019aromes\ni colors del most, per les altes temperatures diurnes del ra\u00efm. Manu Mitru (El Periodico)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>En aquest 2022 hem tingut, entre un 20% i un 30% menys de produccio de ra\u00efm\n-segons la varietat- respecte a l\u2019any passat, a causa de la intensa sequera.\nAra be, l\u2019estat sanitari del ra\u00efm ha sigut impecable. Segons J.A. Montilla,\nenoleg de Torello \u201cel perfecte estat sanitari del ra\u00efm, junt amb una acidesa\nequilibrada, ens permetra elaborar vins tranquils i escumosos de gran qualitat\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Torello, la verema de les 11 varietats de ra\u00efm es va realitzar de manera manual, en caixes de 25kg, pallots de 250 kg o petits remolcs de 2500 kg, i el transport del ra\u00efm, des de la vinya fins a les premses es molt rapid, en tant sols 10 minuts. D\u2019aquesta manera els grans de ra\u00efm arriben sencers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finca Can Marti, Gelida (Alt Penedes), setembre de 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 2022 harvest at Torello Winegrowers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drought and night harvesting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2022 harvest on our Can Marti Estate started on 4th August,\n5 days earlier than usual because of the drought and the rapid maturing of the\nearlier varieties, and ended on the 14<sup>th<\/sup> of September. The litres of\nrain per square metre collected between the 1<sup>st<\/sup> of January 2022 and\nthe start of the harvest were just 179. On the other hand, in August and the\nfirst fortnight of September we received 75 litres of rain, of which our\ncentenary olive trees will make the most. Since the end of the spring and\nthroughout the summer we have had 4 severe heatwaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022 we have had between 20% and 30% less\nproduction of grapes \u2013 depending on the variety \u2013 compared to the previous year\ndue to the intense drought, but that said, the health of the grapes has been\nimpeccable. According to J.A.Montilla, Torello\u2019s enologist, \u2018the perfect health\nof the grapes, together with a balanced acidity, will let us make great quality\nstill and sparkling wines.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Torello, the nearly 80 hectares of\necological vines on the Can Marti Estate are harvested, in part, when it is\nstill night. A harvesting day starts at 04:30 in the morning and finishes at\n13:00. We look for the lowest night temperatures (depending on the day, between\n16\u00baC and 19\u00baC) to protect the health of the harvesters and avoid heatstroke. In\nthe words of Paco de la Rosa Torello\n\u2018It is important to respect their rest and improve their working conditions in\na job as hard as that of the harvesters\u2019. On the other hand, it also avoids a\ncertain loss of aroma and colour of the grape juice due to the high daytime\ntemperatures of the grapes.
